Casein

Casein is a slow digesting protein which clots in the stomach forming large globules of slow release protein. This means that the amino acids in Casein enter the bloodstream at a sustained rate in comparison to whey. Casein is therefore ideal to take either first thing in the morning to supply a steady stream of protein to your body throughout the day, or just before bedtime to stimulate protein synthesis while you sleep.
