    What Are the Benefits of This Supplement?

    • Vitamin D is one of the body’s most important vitamins, helping it with a variety of tasks: Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system and is very important for the body’s structural system, maintaining normal bone and muscle function. Vitamin D3 also contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.
    • When exposed to sunlight, our bodies will naturally make vitamin D3. This process happens when ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation from the sun triggers the 7-dehydrocholesteol to produce D3. Research suggests that everyone over the age of one years should have a daily intake of at least 10µg of Vitamin D per day to protect bone and muscle health. Government advice is that everyone should consider taking a daily vitamin D supplement, especially during the autumn and winter.

      I had a blood test via my GP to find out why I was so tired all the time and it transpired that my Vitamin D level was very low. I cannot have fish, shellfish or mushrooms consequently it took me a while to locate a vitamin D supplement that I could tolerate without serious detriment to my health. Thanks to the Holland and Barrett online help service, this supplement was suggested to me and since starting to take it, my energy levels have greatly increased and I no longer feel constantly tired. I strongly recommend this supplement and the Holland and Barrett team for the care they took over finding the right supplement for me. Thank you H&B.

    4. Product fine but wasteful packaging

      The product its self is great - as it says on the bottle. My big issue with it is the ridiculous waste of plastic - the bottle is only 1/3 to 1/2 full - in a time when companies should be reviewing their environmental impact this should really be on H&B�s agenda. You could do so much better!

      Have had these tablets for quite a while now and will continue to take them. Holland and Barrett are a good price. I have them delivered and it is always quick and so easy to order them on line.

      I have been taking D3 for some time always bought from H&B. I recently had a blood test done to test my Vitamin D levels, along with other things and my test was perfect (over 100. the normal range for Vitamin D is over 75 nmol/l)

      The last few years I've been knocked of my feet exhausted & depressed around mid January having to have time off work. I work indoors and go to work early come home late so generally not seeing daylight from October through to March. On advice from a friend I started taking these Vitamins from September and so far I have not experienced the exhaustion or depressive feeling I've had in the past.
